On this site stood the home of the Proude Family.
The Proude Family farm which included this land predates the arrival of the ship Bombay.
On the death of Molly Proude, this site was left to the people of the Bombay district.
This Stone is a recognition of this gift and a reminder to all those who in the future, will visit and use this area.
